It took me many years to figure out the truest meanin' of the word "Family".

Fuck Any Member Irresponsibly Leveraging Yourself

Plain & Simple. You should never put your own needs (reputation) before the well bein' of your family.

It's happened to us, time & time again. The one uppin'. The lies. The sneakin' behind backs. The secrets. The favoritism. The misdeeds. The "you should've been adopted!"

Adopted!? TRADE ME, Motherfucker!!

Shit. . . If it were up to me, family's would be run like an NBA Franchise. You'd hear about it in your local barbershop's --- "Yo, I was just told that rome traded his entire family tree for a Publishing Deal, a pack of sunflower seeds, & his freedom." --- I mean. . . Doesn't that sound a lot better than the typical family bullshit that we've been forced to endure our entire lives?

One call to the GM. --- BOOM! --- Moved your entire squad to suburbia. "So long. Safe travels. Please forget to write."

Then, you start fresh.

"But rome, you have such a small family now." --- Yeah, it's a rebuilding year. We gon'be aight. A couple years, add some new (loyal) family member's, & a freshly grown garden. . .

We'll be back in the playoffs before you know it.

Seriously though.

I have family member's that I wouldn't associate with if we were merely peers. I'd walk right on by them in the streets. Hell, it's been that way with some. The saddest thing about all of this is that the word "Family" used to mean so much to me as a child. It wasn't until I started piecin' together the puzzle that I realized I didn't fit into the gaps. I'm not like ninety percent of them. They don't make me feel good about myself. A family should make you feel good about yourself. . . not tear you down every chance they get.

Truth is. . .

I have friend's that are more like family than the one's God birthed me to.

I've built a family that treats me better than my forced family EVER did.

I acquired people that truly love me. . . for ME!

Those people are my "FAMILY".

Faithfulness Always Matters - I Love You

You should know the difference.
